Shawn McIsaac, P.Eng, learned the nuts and bolts of building science right here in Canada - before leading complex enclosure projects both new and existing across Vancouver, Seattle, and New Zealand. In 2019, Shawn founded Oculus - a New Zealand based consultancy recognised for delivering award-winning projects and for solving performance and compliance challenges with clarity, creativity, and technical rigour.

Oculus has expanded in 2025 with a new office in the Fraser Valley. Shawn and the Oculus team offer local architects, developers, and project managers the same depth of expertise as Vancouver-based firms - with better access, faster response, and no compromise on performance.
